N26 statements are minimalist PDFs with merchant, category tag, and amount — no running balance column on most layouts. The converter rebuilds the ledger and reconciles it against the statement's opening and closing balance so the total always checks out.
Verified against the balance
Every row is reconciled against the statement's running balance, so a misread digit is flagged, not silently wrong.
Encrypted, then deleted
Your file is processed over an encrypted connection and the original PDF is deleted the moment conversion finishes.
QuickBooks & Xero ready
Export import-ready QuickBooks (QBO) and Xero files with stable IDs, alongside Excel, CSV, and JSON.

N26 statement formats and where they trip up converters
N26 personal account
A minimalist list of merchant, category tag, and amount, with an opening and closing balance for the period but no running balance per row.
TRANSACTIONS
N26 prints an opening and closing balance for the period, but no running balance on any line.
N26 statements list merchant, a category tag and an amount, but no running balance on any line — there is nothing per-row to check against.
The converter rebuilds the running balance from the period's opening balance and reconciles the total against the printed closing balance, so a misread amount is caught.
Every row carries an N26 category tag (Groceries, Media & Electronics, Income…) glued to the merchant name.
The category is separated into its own column, so you keep N26's tagging without it polluting the description.
Transfers to and from Spaces (sub-accounts) appear in the same list as real spending.
Spaces movements are labelled as transfers, so they don't count as income or expense.
German-market statements use DD.MM.YYYY dates and comma decimals that break naive imports.
Dates and numbers are normalised to formats Excel understands.

What the export looks like
Every row rebuilt in date order and checked against the running balance. A green check means it reconciles; an amber flag means it needs a quick look before export.

Frequently asked questions
How do I convert an N26 statement to Excel?
Download the monthly statement PDF from the N26 app or web app (Statements & documents), drop it into the converter above, and download the result as Excel, CSV, QuickBooks, Xero, or JSON. Your first page each day is free, no account needed.
N26 statements have no running balance. Will the total still be right?
Yes. That's the point of the balance check: the converter rebuilds the running balance from the period's opening figure and reconciles it against the printed closing balance, so a misread digit is flagged rather than carried into your books.
What happens to N26's category tags?
Each row's category (Groceries, Income, Media & Electronics…) is separated into its own column, so you keep N26's tagging while the merchant name stays clean.
Do transfers to Spaces get mixed in with my spending?
No. Movements to and from Spaces (N26's sub-accounts) are labelled as transfers, so they don't inflate your income or expense totals.
Does it read N26's German date and number format?
Yes. DD.MM.YYYY dates and comma decimals are normalised to formats Excel understands, so the export opens correctly wherever you are.
Can I import a converted N26 statement into QuickBooks or Xero?
Yes. Alongside Excel and CSV, the converter exports QuickBooks (QBO) and Xero files with stable transaction IDs, so re-importing an updated statement won't create duplicates.
