Data Deletion Policy
Last updated: July 11, 2026
What gets deleted automatically
- Original statement files — deleted from storage the moment page rendering completes, before extraction even finishes. We never retain your PDF.
- Page images — the rendered images used for AI extraction are deleted as soon as extraction completes.
- PDF passwords — used in memory to unlock the file, never written to disk, storage, or logs.
- Extracted transaction data — deleted automatically at expiry: 24 hours after conversion for guests, or the retention period you set (7, 30, 90, 365 days — or Never, if you choose to keep your conversions until you delete them) for account holders. A daily job removes expired data.
What you can delete yourself
- Any single conversion — the Delete action on your dashboard removes the extracted rows and any associated files instantly and permanently.
- Your whole account — contact us (or use the account deletion option) and all uploads, extracted data, credit history, and your profile are erased. Stripe retains invoice records as required by tax law; those contain billing details only, never statement contents.
Backups
Database backups age out on a rolling schedule; deleted data leaves backups within 30 days. Backups are never used to restore user-deleted content.
